A slower way up North Africa's highest peak. An acclimatising first day, a night at the Toubkal refuge, then the summit on day 3, with your own local team and a cook preparing your lunches.

Marrakech, Imlil
We pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech and drive to the Imlil valley, about 1h30 away, where the trek begins. Our local team meets you and takes you to a guesthouse for a welcome mint tea and a look at the route on the map. Then you set off on an acclimatising hike to Tizi Mzik pass (2,489m), with a lunch stop prepared by your cook. After lunch you walk back down the same way to your lodge in Imlil, where you spend the night.
Imlil, Toubkal refuge
After breakfast at your lodge, you trek up the Aït Mizane valley, first to the village of Aremd, then on to the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch. You stop for lunch, then the trail climbs steadily, zigzagging up to the Toubkal refuge (3,206m), where you spend the night.
Refuge, summit, refuge
After an early breakfast, you make your attempt on Jebel Toubkal. The route goes up the south cirque, crosses the stream above the refuge, then heads over one of the mountain's many scree fields. The views over the High Atlas are worth it. After a short break on the pass, you return the same way to the refuge for lunch and a second night.
Refuge, Imlil, Marrakech
You walk back down to the Imlil valley by the same route, have lunch in Imlil, then transfer to Marrakech, about 1h30 by road.
Day 1 is an acclimatisation hike, so your body has time to adjust before the refuge and the summit.
Not included: soft drinks, mineral water, tips, sleeping bags, or travel insurance.

Adouan was an amazing guide to hike Toubkal with. He spoke really good english so we had some great chats and he shared some amazing knowledge of the area. Imlil (the village where you'll stay) is a place I day dream of weekly - it was one of the most stunning places I've ever met, with such friendly local people. The food Adouan organised was to die for - absolutely gorgeous. 100% recommend, such an unforgettable experience!
